A BRIEF SUMMARY

This role supports the monthly accounting process, including posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany alignment, while ensuring accurate reporting into the group systems. It contributes to FP&A activities by assisting with OPEX reporting, providing data‑driven insights for operational projects, and supporting short‑to‑medium‑term cashflow forecasting. The position also provides audit support and carries out daily cash posting and other ad‑hoc financial tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Support revenue / cost of sale accounting entries
  • Align intercompany positions with wider group entities
  • Month-end Opex journal entries, accruals & prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and review
  • Monthly load of group reporting tool (Onestream) – inc. detailed supporting schedules
  • Support Opex reporting & transformation initiatives
  • Provide data‑driven analysis to operational owners supporting strategic projects
  • Drive short to medium‑term cashflow forecasting for combined UK entity
  • Audit & Statutory support
  • Daily cash posting
  • Business Central Maintenance & Support

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF

Essential

  • Understanding of accounting principles and core control mechanisms
  • Solid Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, modelling)
  • Experience with ERP systems; Business Central experience preferred
  • Analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear insights
  • Excellent communication skills, able to partner with operational and commercial teams
  • Experience of cash management & accurate forecasting

Desirable

  • Exposure to intercompany or multi‑entity accounting
  • Audit or statutory account preparation support experience
  • Experience with financial process improvement or transformation initiatives
  • Part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or willingness to grow
