JOB TITLE: Junior Fibre Splicer

ABOUT THE ROLE

A BRIEF SUMMARY

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting and vibrant industry as a Junior Fibre Splicer.

You will receive hands-on training in the correct use of fusion splice machines, specialist tools, and fibre-optic testing and measurement equipment. You will also gain an understanding of the different types of fibre-optic cables used across the industry, including their applications and handling requirements.

Working location: High Wycombe. Some potential on site work

Weekly hours: 37.5 hours per week

Reporting to: Deputy Cable Manager

Role type: Permanent

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Working as part of a team, you will ensure all fibre cables are expertly spliced, tested, fully operational, and ready for use across a variety of projects. This includes but is not limited to:-

• Stripping of fibre cables
• Cleaning of fibre cables
• Splicing of fibre cables
• Testing and checking measurements
• Fault finding
• Loading and unloading of trucks at base
• General warehouse duties
