ABOUT THE ROLE

A BRIEF SUMMARY

The Goods In Supervisor is a core part of the efficient working of the warehouse, equipment and outside broadcast truck lifecycle. Responsible for supervising a small team, this role takes ownership of the Goods In function in a busy warehouse environment ensuring equipment is received, processed, tracked and returned accurately while maintaining high operational standards and supporting continuous improvement across warehouse operations.

Working location: High Wycombe

Weekly hours: 37.5 hours per week

Reporting to: Deputy OB Warehouse Manager

Role type: Full-time, permanent

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Alongside the Warehouse Management team, track the movement of equipment in and out of the warehouse.
  • Supervise, coach and develop the Goods In team, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
  • Take ownership of the Goods In area, maintaining a safe, clean, organised and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain accurate visibility of equipment stored within cages and ensure equipment locations are up to date.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries, vehicles and outside broadcast trucks.
  • Verify all incoming deliveries against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Chase missing purchase order numbers with the Resource team where required.
  • Process all hire and cross-hire equipment through the PO (Purchase Order) process, ensuring accurate system updates.
  • Inspect all returned equipment for completeness and report any discrepancies or damage.
  • Maintain high scanning accuracy, ensuring all equipment movements are correctly recorded.
  • Monitor stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory records remain accurate.
  • Organise and coordinate equipment returns to suppliers and customers.
  • Manage incoming post and personal deliveries to the warehouse.
  • Follow and continually improve company procedures around scanning and tracking of equipment.
  • Monitor and report on key operational KPIs, including scan compliance, stock accuracy, turnaround times and Goods In performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support compliance with Health & Safety procedures and promote safe working practices across the team.
  • Lead shifts, including weekends, early mornings and evenings, as part of a 37.5-hour working week.

  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence (ideal, but not essential).
  • Have previous experience in Warehouse Operations.
  • Have previous supervisory or team leader experience (preferred).
  • Have experience with broadcast equipment (ideal, but not essential).
  • Can show initiative and work independently.
  • Have basic knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Are confident using basic IT systems and warehouse scanning systems.
  • Are committed to delivering high standards of customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate Trust by acting with integrity, accountability, and transparency.
  • Promote Collaboration by working effectively across teams and sharing knowledge.
