We are recruiting an Administrator to support our Court of Protection (Health & Welfare) team, ideally with 2 years of administration/support experience.
About the Role
This role sits within the Court of Protection, Health and Welfare team at our Penrith office. We actively support one another and place a great deal of emphasis on teamwork, but the work may sometimes require travel to other offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Court of Protection, Health and Welfare team.
- Perform audio and copy typing for the COP H&W team.
- Open new COP H&W and Mental Health files, transfer time/relevant documents, and close files.
- Arrange appointments with clients and visits to care homes/placements.
- Prepare chitties, conduct payment of invoices, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
- Submit bills to the Legal Aid Agency each month.
- Prepare court bundles.
Required Skills & Experience
- Adherence to firm procedures and client confidentiality.
- Strong motivation and initiative.
- Excellent typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Prior experience in legal administration/support, preferably in a COP H&W department or other legal aid funded work.
- Confidence to inform the team leader of significant client file issues.
- Willingness to attend and complete any relevant training as required.
