What are we looking for?
We are currently looking to recruit a Solicitor to join our Family team who ideally will be 1 year + PQE.
Where will you be based?
This role can be based from our Durham office, but we would expect you to travel and work from other offices from time to time.
How many hours will you be working?
This is a full-time role which is 35 hours per week, however at EMG Solicitor we work flexibly, it's not a 9 to 5 role, but we do expect the work to be done, when you do it can be largely up to yourself, your Team Leader and the requirements of your clients.
A brief overview of the role:
This role sits within the Family Team. The successful candidate will be experienced and ambitious with around 1 year + PQE and the ability to advise and support clients on a wide array of family matters including Divorce, Financial Remedy and Private Law Children Act cases

- Responsible for a caseload of private family matters including:
- Divorce and Dissolution of civil partnerships
- Financial provision for children and separation agreements
- Cohabitation agreements
- Child arrangements

To be able to perform this job you will need.
- Qualified Solicitor with post-qualification experience in family law.
- Experience managing a varied family law caseload, including divorce, financial remedy, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Technical knowledge of family law and current legislation, with the ability to provide practical, client-focused advice.
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service and living our values of collaboration, compassion, and excellence.
- A willingness to contribute to networking, business development, and raising the profile of the Family team within the local community.
