A growing mid-sized financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Change Management function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-profile business change initiatives across a varied portfolio within a regulated financial services environment. The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery for complex and strategically important projects. Working across business and technology teams, you will drive delivery from mobilisation through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. The majority of projects are business-focused, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and change delivery capabilities alongside solid project management expertise.

  • Lead the planning, mobilisation, and delivery of complex change initiatives across the business
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, RAID logs, reporting, and governance activities
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, managing stakeholder expectations at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls effectively
  • Support portfolio reporting and contribute to continuous improvement within the change function
  • Mentor and support other project managers, helping to strengthen delivery capability across the team
  • Ensure alignment between business change activity and technical delivery teams operating within Agile/DevSecOps environments

About You

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects within financial services or another highly regulated environment
  • Strong end-to-end project management capability with experience managing business change initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies including PRINCE2, Agile, and MSP
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and outsourced delivery partners
  • Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, business cases, and benefit realisation
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working within evolving and fast-paced environments
  • Previous line management or mentoring experience would be advantageous
