A growing mid-sized financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Change Management function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-profile business change initiatives across a varied portfolio within a regulated financial services environment. The Role

  • Take ownership of end-to-end delivery for complex and strategically important projects.
  • Drive delivery from mobilisation through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, RAID logs, reporting, and governance activities.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, managing stakeholder expectations at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls effectively.
  • Support portfolio reporting and contribute to continuous improvement within the change function.
  • Mentor and support other project managers, helping to strengthen delivery capability across the team.
  • Ensure alignment between business change activity and technical delivery teams operating within Agile/DevSecOps environments.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong end-to-end project management capability with experience managing business change initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies including PRINCE2, Agile, and MSP.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and outsourced delivery partners.
  • Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, business cases, and benefit realisation.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working within evolving and fast-paced environments.
  • Previous line management or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
