Are you an experienced leader in change management looking to make a meaningful impact? A mid-sized financial services firm is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Change to drive transformative initiatives across the organization. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll oversee the Change Management function, including the Project Management Office (PMO) and project managers, ensuring the delivery of impactful change programs aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement a cohesive change management strategy. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Change Planning and Resourcing: Oversee the planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for all change initiatives. Manage the organization’s demand planning process, aligning initiatives with strategic priorities and resource availability.
  • Program Management and Delivery: Ensure all change initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Personally lead large-scale change programs when necessary. Partner with business sponsors to ensure successful transition into business-as-usual operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across the organization to drive collaboration and communication. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on change initiatives and strategic decisions.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of change initiatives. Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership, highlighting successes and addressing challenges.
  • Change Communication: Design and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. Champion a culture of positive change throughout the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate change initiatives to identify areas for enhancement. Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in change management and project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant program/project management qualifications.
  • Proven experience leading and embedding organizational change, managing budgets of £3-10+ million.
  • Demonstrated ability to transition transformation initiatives into sustainable operations.
  • Expertise in change management frameworks and governance practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing at ExCo and Board levels.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments, particularly within Financial Services.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with Investments, Life, and Pensions product lines.
  • Experience in post-M&A integration or similarly large-scale programs.
