Principal Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services Location: Fully Remote, UK Travel: London – approximately twice per month Employment Type: Permanent Sector: Building Services / Engineering Consultancy Discipline: Mechanical Design The Opportunity A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing team on a fully remote basis, with travel to London approximately twice per month. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in building services to take a leading role across a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across mechanical design , working closely with clients, project managers, engineers and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality building services solutions from concept through to completion. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote working , combined with regular face-to-face collaboration in London and the opportunity to take ownership of major engineering projects. The Role As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer , you will take responsibility for the technical delivery of mechanical building services design across a range of projects. Key responsibilities will include: · Lead mechanical design from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and project delivery. · Provide technical leadership across building services projects. · Take ownership of mechanical engineering packages and ensure designs are delivered to a high technical standard. · Develop and review HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water systems.
