We currently have a requirement for a PDMS Design Engineer on a contract basis, the position is working on a large scale project within the Energy sector. If you are an independent contractor with experience producing PDMS Designs within the HVAC sector, please read on:
PDMS Designer Role Responsibilities:
- Provide independent PDMS Design and modelling services to support the large scale delivery of a large Energy project.
- Deliver PDMS output on an agreed package of work, ensuring design models and deliverables can be progressed.
- Produce 3D models in PDMS for HVAC, chilled water pipework and associated small steelwork.
- Development and update of model layouts, ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards.
- Independent clash detection and model coordination across multi-disciplines.
- Generate design outputs (isometrics, drawings, general arrangements) directly from PDMS.
- Provision of advisory mark-ups and technical feedback for design improvements.
- Support reviewing supplier 3D models and advising on compliance and interrogation.
- Creating and maintaining PDMS for Mechanical and HVAC systems.
PDMS Designer Role Requirements:
- A strong background in 3D Design, using PDMS.
- Experience in HVAC and mechanical modelling for large scale projects, Energy/Defence experience would be desirable.
- The ability to produce accurate drawings, isometrics and MTOs.
- Understanding of Design standards for Mechanical/HVAC systems.
