The Role

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and HVAC installations.
  • Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications.
  • Produce accurate take-offs and pricing schedules.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and internal project teams.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Assess project risks and commercial opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of tender submissions.
  • Maintain estimating databases and pricing information.
  • Assist with post-tender negotiations and handovers.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical building services.
  • Experience pricing mechanical and HVAC projects.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Commercial awareness and strong numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
