We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier One Main Contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt. This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of Europe’s leading construction businesses on a flagship mission-critical project. The successful Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the commercial delivery of a large-scale MEP package, working alongside industry-leading professionals on one of the most technically challenging sectors in construction. The position offers flexibility for candidates wishing to relocate permanently to Frankfurt or work on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) basis. To be considered, applicants must hold EU citizenship and have the right to work within the European Union. In addition to a highly competitive salary, the package includes fully paid accommodation and a living allowance equivalent to 20% of annual salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial delivery of major MEP packages on a large-scale data centre project.
  • Administer subcontract accounts from procurement through to final account agreement.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract packages and contractual documentation.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and commercial performance.
  • Manage variations, compensation events, and change control processes.
  • Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and commercial reports.
  • Support procurement activities and subcontractor selection.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide commercial advice to project and operational teams.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, and construction teams to maximise project performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor, MEP Quantity Surveyor, or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical building services projects.
  • Previous experience delivering large-scale MEP packages on data centres, major infrastructure, pharmaceutical, industrial, or commercial projects.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial management, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Experience working for a main contractor, specialist MEP contractor, or large-scale construction organisation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.

Essential Criteria

  • EU citizenship is required.
  • Willingness to work in Frankfurt either on a permanent relocation basis or fly-in fly-out (FIFO) arrangement.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage high-value packages independently.
  • Experience within mission-critical, data centre, or major project environments is highly desirable.
