We are recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to join a leading engineering contractor based in London. The company is a recognised specialist within the nuclear sector, delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. We are particularly interested in candidates with mechanical and HVAC estimating experience.

The Role

  • Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and HVAC packages on technically demanding projects.
  • Work closely with commercial, engineering and project delivery teams to produce accurate tenders and support the successful delivery of future projects.
  • Produce detailed estimates for mechanical and HVAC installations.
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Assess project risks and commercial considerations.
  • Maintain estimating records and pricing databases.
  • Support project handovers following successful bids.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator.
  • Good understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services.
  • Experience estimating mechanical and HVAC projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
  • Mechanical engineering, building services or HVAC industry experience.
  • Candidates from a Quantity Surveying background looking to move into estimating are encouraged to apply.
  • Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
