We are currently seeking an experienced P6 Planner to join a high-profile team supporting the delivery of the UK’s flagship energy infrastructure programme, Sizewell C. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Planner with a strong background in major projects to contribute to one of the country’s most significant construction and engineering programmes.

The successful P6 Planner will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules, ensuring robust planning controls are in place throughout the project lifecycle. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within the nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated major project environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate planning and reporting.
  • Produce critical path analysis and identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support project controls activities including progress measurement, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Ensure the P6 Planner function supports programme objectives and delivery milestones.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and schedule review meetings.
  • Provide schedule assurance and governance in line with project requirements.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards from P6 to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with wider project controls teams to ensure consistency across planning processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Planner or P6 Planner on major projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Previous experience within the nuclear, defence, infrastructure, energy, or similarly regulated sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of planning methodologies, scheduling principles, and project controls.
  • Experience managing complex schedules involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to undertake schedule analysis, earned value reporting, and critical path assessments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and able to meet project security requirements where applicable.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience supporting major programmes such as Sizewell C, Hinkley Point C, defence infrastructure, or other nationally significant projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls best practice.
  • Exposure to integrated programme environments and large-scale construction delivery.
