Working within the nuclear sector, you’ll become part of a collaborative engineering team supporting major programmes from concept design through to detailed engineering and project delivery. The Role

  • Produce high-quality mechanical designs for a range of complex engineering projects.
  • Develop 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, reports, and engineering documentation.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver practical and innovative design solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, hazard studies, and technical workshops.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support projects throughout the design lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and implementation.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure successful technical delivery.

About You

  • Experience in mechanical design within engineering, manufacturing, energy, process, or building services environments.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
  • The ability to produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to engineering design.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within the nuclear sector is advantageous but not essential.
