We are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join a leading specialist contractor delivering complex mechanical building services on a large scale major project, based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven project professional with a strong background in HVAC, ventilation, and ductwork systems to take ownership of large-scale packages from pre-construction through to completion. The role is fully site-based and offers a genuine pathway into senior management as the business continues to grow.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering major mechanical packages on commercial, data centre, healthcare, residential, infrastructure, or industrial projects. They will be a confident client-facing individual with the ability to build strong relationships, lead teams effectively, and drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the successful delivery of a large scale HVAC Package from procurement through to practical completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a high level of service throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, driving performance and accountability across the project.
- Manage all aspects of project delivery including programme, cost, quality, health & safety, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate the installation of HVAC, ventilation, and ductwork systems across multiple project phases.
- Chair project and site meetings, ensuring clear communication between all stakeholders.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain programme and budget objectives.
- Oversee procurement activities and ensure materials, labour, and resources are effectively managed.
- Drive quality standards across all ventilation and ductwork installations.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
- Proven experience working as an HVAC Project Manager on large-scale construction or building services projects.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC, ventilation, and ductwork systems.
- Demonstrable experience delivering significant mechanical packages from planning and procurement through to handover.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Background within mechanical building services, HVAC, ventilation, or ductwork contracting.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, contracts, and project performance.
- Ability to motivate teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
