An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering mechanical and electrical works at Hinkley Point C. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest and most prestigious infrastructure projects while building a long-term career within the nuclear sector.

As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of major MEP packages, supporting the successful delivery of complex mechanical and electrical installations from procurement through to final account. Working on a project of this scale will provide unrivalled experience, excellent career development, and exposure to one of the most technically advanced construction programmes in Europe.

The Role:

  • Manage the commercial delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages on the Hinkley Point C project.
  • Prepare cost plans, valuations, forecasts, and final accounts.
  • Administer subcontractor procurement, payments, and contract management.
  • Manage variations, compensation events, and change control.
  • Monitor project costs and provide accurate commercial reporting.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure commercial processes are followed while helping deliver the project safely, on programme, and within budget.

About You:

  • Experience in Quantity Surveying within MEP, mechanical, electrical, or building services projects.
  • A solid understanding of cost control, contract administration, and commercial management.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project valuations.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working under NEC contracts is highly desirable.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Previous nuclear experience is beneficial but not essential.
