An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Manager to join one of the UK’s most significant nuclear construction projects at Hinkley Point C.

This is your chance to play a key role in delivering critical HVAC and mechanical installation packages on one of Europe’s largest and most technically challenging infrastructure developments.

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of HVAC and mechanical works, ensuring installation activities are completed safely, to programme, within budget, and to the exceptionally high quality standards required on this major project.

The Role

As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will

  • Manage the delivery of HVAC and mechanical installation packages from planning through to commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Drive programme performance, ensuring key milestones and project deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve technical and operational challenges to keep works on schedule.
  • Ensure all HVAC and mechanical works meet the rigorous safety, quality, and compliance standards expected on a major nuclear project.
  • Manage project costs, reporting, variations, and commercial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal project teams.
  • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all site activities.

About You

We’re looking for a Mechanical Project Manager who has

  • Experience delivering HVAC, mechanical building services, or industrial mechanical projects.
  • A proven track record of successful project delivery from installation through to completion.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach with a focus on delivering projects safely and to programme.
  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and other relevant site certifications.

Previous nuclear experience is welcomed but not essential.
