We are recruiting for a CAD Coordinator to join a growing design and build contractor based in Surrey.
With an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects, the business is looking for a CAD Coordinator who can support the successful coordination of MEP services using 2D CAD across a wide range of commercial and industrial developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Coordinator to join a collaborative team, working alongside design engineers, project managers and site teams to ensure coordinated MEP drawings are delivered accurately and on time.
The Role As a CAD Coordinator , you will be responsible for producing, updating and coordinating 2D MEP drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure all MEP layouts are coordinated, compliant and ready for construction.
Key Responsibilities Produce and update 2D MEP drawings using Auto CAD.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical and public health ( MEP ) services across multiple projects.
Review consultant and client drawings to identify coordination issues.
Ensure all 2D drawings are accurate, coordinated and issued in line with project programmes.
Work closely with engineers, project managers and site teams.
Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
Incorporate design revisions and client comments into 2D CAD drawings.
Support design coordination meetings and resolve drawing queries.
Ensure drawing standards and company procedures are maintained.
Assist with the coordination of construction and installation information.
What Were Looking For Previous experience as a CAD Coordinator within the building services or construction sector.
Strong knowledge of MEP coordination.
Excellent 2D Auto CAD skills.
Experience producing coordinated MEP drawings.
Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Experience working for a design and build contractor or MEP contractor is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple project stakeholders.
A proactive approach with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
