The University of Bath is currently advertising for a two-year Research Associate in Atmospheric Dynamics. The start date is in late September, but there is some flexibility in this.
The focus of the post is the study of atmospheric gravity waves using a combination of satellite observations, ground-based measurements, and high-resolution numerical modelling. The project forms part of the Leverhulme Trust-funded programme, Seeing the Unseen, and offers the opportunity to help develop new approaches for understanding gravity-wave generation, propagation, and their role in atmospheric circulation and the prediction of tropical cyclone intensification.
The university is ideally looking for candidates with a strong background in one or more of:

- Satellite remote sensing
