Description

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and implement our FCV (FisherTM and SempellTM) Spare Parts and STO strategy across the UK and Ireland region, with focus on installed base protection and aftermarket growth within key industrial sectors. The role requires: (i) a strong understanding of control valve applications and solutions, (ii) market and industry knowledge, and (iii) proven commercial and leadership capabilities in sales development and account management.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the execution of FCV sales and growth strategies across the UK and Ireland to achieve and exceed bookings, revenue and market share targets, in alignment with Business Unit objectives.
  • · Drive growth of the FCV Spare Parts business by working closely with Field Sales and the ASP network to identify, create, develop and convert opportunities.
  • · Lead the Inside Sales team (matrix: Hungary based) to drive quote strategy, quote optimisation, responsiveness and conversion.
  • · Maintain accurate CRM data, manage pipeline health, manage quote follow up and provide regular updates on sales forecasts, market activity and customer feedback.
  • · Support strategic industry initiatives and business plans to strengthen Emerson’s market position and increase participation across key sectors.
  • · Own and develop installed base intelligence by identifying ageing or high-risk control valve populations and driving lifecycle extension and upgrade campaigns.
  • · Develop and implement strategic STO/account plans focused on increasing Spare Parts penetration and expanding long-term customer value within key accounts.
  • · Conduct joint customer visits, walkdowns and site surveys with local sales teams to identify installed base upgrade opportunities.
  • · Partner with product specialists and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions that support upgrade and retrofit opportunities.
  • · Build and maintain strong customer relationships at multiple organisational levels, gaining insight into technical requirements, commercial drivers and future investment plans.
  • · Support the continued development and expansion of the ASP programme across the UK and Ireland in collaboration with Field Sales and the Business Unit.
  • · Track and report key performance metrics, including order intake, win rates, conversion performance and loss analysis, to drive continuous improvement.
  • · Share market intelligence, customer insights, competitor activity and product developments across the FCV team to support strategic decision-making.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • · Proven experience within the control valve industry, with a strong understanding of valve applications and market dynamics.
  • · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional and matrix organisations.
  • · Demonstrated experience in a sales or business development environment, preferably within industrial or process industries.
  • · Proficient in the use of business systems and reporting tools, including CRM platforms, Oracle and Microsoft Office applications.
  • · Ability to communicate confidently at both technical and commercial levels to resolve customer challenges and secure business opportunities.
  • · Good understanding of commercial drivers, sales negotiation processes and customer decision-making structures.
  • · Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland region.
  • · Strong computer literacy, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • · Full, clean driving licence.
