5 Dimensions Trust are seeking to strengthen its talent pipeline through the appointment and development of Apprentice Teaching Assistants. This is a really exciting opportunity for individuals who are keen to achieve a national qualification and who may be considering a future career in teaching, either at Primary or Secondary level.

To commence September. Fixed-term for the duration of the apprenticeship programme, with the potential for a permanent role upon successful completion.

  • Part-time: Yes
  • Salary: Apprentice rate in line with National Minimum Wage for apprentices (£8.00-£12.71 per hour depending on age and stage of apprenticeship).
  • Hours: 30 hours per week, term time plus training days (39 weeks per year) 8.30am to 3.00pm or 9.00am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday with a daily 30-minute unpaid break.

We are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, enjoy working with young people with additional needs and who can lead by example. You will be joining a supportive SEND team and working within one of our schools assisting students to achieve their full potential, while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Have GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent).
  • Have a real passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with additional needs.
  • Be able to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Be reliable, organised, and committed to your learning and professional development.
  • Want to make a difference to the children in our care.
