A new opportunity to join a leading Real Estate Investment Trust with a large commercial property portfolio in London. Reporting to the Head of Buildings and Projects, and alongside a team of 5, you will be responsible for overseeing internal and external refurbishment works across their portfolio. The role combines building surveying and project management, working closely with their in-house asset managers.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage internal and external refurbishment work (£50k - £2m) - directly or via externally appointed consultants
- Oversee dilapidations claims and manage externally appointed consultants
- Input into property acquisitions and review pre-acquisition/vendor surveys
- Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works
- Manage annual Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) exercise
- Review and approve licences for alterations
About you:
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying
- Chartered MRICS (essential)
- Min 5 years' experience acting as a Building Surveyor
- Experience working on commercial property assets
- Strong communication skills
