A new opportunity to join a leading Real Estate Investment Trust with a large commercial property portfolio in London. Reporting to the Head of Buildings and Projects, and alongside a team of 5, you will be responsible for overseeing internal and external refurbishment works across their portfolio. The role combines building surveying and project management, working closely with their in-house asset managers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage internal and external refurbishment work (£50k - £2m) - directly or via externally appointed consultants
  • Oversee dilapidations claims and manage externally appointed consultants
  • Input into property acquisitions and review pre-acquisition/vendor surveys
  • Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works
  • Manage annual Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) exercise
  • Review and approve licences for alterations

About you:

  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying
  • Chartered MRICS (essential)
  • Min 5 years' experience acting as a Building Surveyor
  • Experience working on commercial property assets
  • Strong communication skills
