Job description H A EMERSON is looking for a full-time butcher to join our team. This person will assist in the daily operations of the butchery and assist in other functions as needed. The store operates 7 days a week so there will be weekend work involved, this position is 40 hours a week approximately. Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Knowledge of meat handling, trimming, and butchery techniques. Knowledge of the use of knives and how to properly clean them. Ability to read and understand written instructions. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures, including sanitation standards for food handling areas, including but not limited to food storage areas, refrigeration areas, kitchen areas, and preparation areas.
