Responsibilities include:
- Experienced in setting/operating manual surface grinding and cylindrical grinding machines producing parts to tight tolerances.
- Strong problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, dedicated team.
- Measure and inspect manufactured items to assure accuracy to the drawing and report any deficiencies to the inspector and your line manager.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, oil & coolant level checks.
- Produce work to the quality standard required while minimizing waste.
- Follow written instructions, safe working practices, and to always maintain a safe and tidy work area.
- Help improve safety, quality, and productivity through the continual improvement process.
Key Attributes:
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for high tolerance work.
- Excellent knowledge of operations in a Toolroom grinding department.
- Knowledge of CNC grinding machines advantageous (Training available).
- Knowledge of CMM Inspection machines (Training available).
