Department: Toolroom

Hours: Basic of 36 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.

Salary: Upon application.

Responsibilities include:

  • Experienced in setting/operating manual surface grinding and cylindrical grinding machines producing parts to tight tolerances.
  • Strong problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, dedicated team.
  • Measure and inspect manufactured items to assure accuracy to the drawing and report any deficiencies to the inspector and your line manager.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, oil & coolant level checks.
  • Produce work to the quality standard required while minimizing waste.
  • Follow written instructions, safe working practices, and to always maintain a safe and tidy work area.
  • Help improve safety, quality, and productivity through the continual improvement process.

Key Attributes:

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for high tolerance work.
  • Excellent knowledge of operations in a Toolroom grinding department.
  • Knowledge of CNC grinding machines advantageous (Training available).
  • Knowledge of CMM Inspection machines (Training available).
