Venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) professionals often face the challenge of adapting to market volatility and refining fundraising strategies to sustain growth. Due diligence and portfolio management are crucial in maintaining and enhancing organisational value through operational improvements, cost management and strategic restructuring. The Venture Capital and Private Equity: Investment Strategies programme from Imperial College Business School Executive Education is designed to equip participants with a deep understanding of deal restructuring, term sheets and exit strategies alongside insights into spotting and nurturing investment opportunities. By the end of the programme participants will have developed the skills needed for effective investment management in the dynamic venture capital and private equity sectors, as well as preparing participants for leadership roles in the constantly evolving global financial landscape.

Information about the Programme Leader role:

Emeritus is seeking Programme Leader in Venture Capital and Private Equity: Investment Strategies for IMPERIAL, College Business School. The Programme Leader is a subject matter expert that shapes the student’s experience and guides students through their learning journey. Candidates must have industry experience, demonstrated knowledge of the course subject area, strong interpersonal skills, and previous experience in teaching, mentoring or another instructional role. This is a great role for someone who wants work flexibility and the chance to diversify their resume with consultancy and teaching experience. This is an independent contractor position in a remote setting.

Responsibilities of the Program Leader include but are not limited to:

• Respond to group and individual questions about program content and assignments.
• Conduct interactive webinars to stimulate student learning.
• Provide assignment feedback on a select number of assignments in the program.
• Monitor student discussions.
• Collaborate with the Emeritus team to solve unexpected program challenges.
• Suggest improvements to ensure content is communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively in videos, assignments and collateral materials.

Qualifications for the role:

• 8+ years of extensive work experience in the field of investment, private equity, capital markets
• PhD, MS/MBA or BS in the finance field or economics.
• Experience leading or analyzing investments, capital markets, financial modeling, bond valuation and equity options.
• Proven experience raising capital from investors.
• Poven experience conducting negotiation and structuring deals and monitoring portfolio companies.
• Experience advising, structuring and execution of equity offerings for corporate and financial sponsors.
• Proven experience developing and implementing strategies to maximize returns.
• Proven experience of the legal and regulatory aspects of private equity and venture capital.
• Proven experience preparing financial statements, reports and presentations.
• Experience facilitating and teaching executives, preferably in an online environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.
