Emeritus is seeking a Program Facilitator for the Carnegie Mellon University Program Computer Vision: Master the core computer vision skills advancing robotics and automation. The Program Facilitator is a subject matter expert that serves as the front-line academic support for learners in the course, supporting the delivery of a high-impact, 10-week online program. The Program Facilitator will be working closely with the Emeritus Instructional Team and Carnegie Mellon faculty. Candidates must have industry experience and demonstrate knowledge of the course subject area; they will guide learners through complex topics like computer vision frameworks and challenges in real-world contexts. This is a great role for someone who wants work flexibility and the chance to diversify their resume with consultancy and teaching experience. This is an independent contractor position in a remote setting.
Responsibilities of the Program Facilitator role:
- Facilitate weekly office hours and moderate required discussion boards.
- Moderate and guide learner engagement during faculty live sessions.
- Support learners in synthesizing live session content delivered by the faculty.
- Assist with capstone assignment challenges.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to improve engagement and comprehension.
- Monitor learner progress and provide support or escalation as needed.
Qualifications for the Program Facilitator role:
- 10+ years of extensive work experience in the field of Computer vision, MLAI, robotics or any related field.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, C++ or Java.
- Proven experience in machine learning libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Proven experience with computer vision principles, image processing techniques and machine learning algorithms.
- Proven experience designing and implementing computer vision algorithms, or tasks such as object detection, recognition, tracking and segmentation.
- Proven experience collecting datasets of images or videos for training and evaluation of models.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.
- Experience providing guidance and recommendations to management to ensure transformation or innovation plans align with company goals.
- Experience supporting executive or mid-career professionals in continuing education is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.

Program Description and Context:
With increasing digitization across industries, we are creating and consuming more image led digital data than ever before – both as organizations and as individuals. From photos captured on our mobile phones to medical scans at the doctor’s office, digital images have become ubiquitous. Consequently, computer vision technologies that are needed to process and analyze these images have also quickly evolved. This has resulted in an increased demand for technology professionals with in-depth knowledge in this field. The Computer Vision online program from the Executive Education division of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science is specifically designed to cater to this demand. This program will help you to receive a comprehensive introduction to the theory and algorithms used in computer vision systems, including machine learning (ML) and all computer vision tools and techniques used in the real world.
Duration: 10 weeks (estimated learner commitment: 5-6 hours/week).
Structure: Blend of asynchronous Canvas activities and live Zoom sessions.
