Newcastle University is offering a Ph D Studentship in Process Industries focusing on Net Zero Centre for Doctoral Training.

The research targets scalable microbial electrolysis cell (MEC) systems for wastewater-to-resource conversion and will combine modelling, pilot-scale work, and economic assessment.

You will work across reaction engineering, process systems engineering, and industrial deployment, with supervisors Dr Richard Law and Dr Elizabeth Heidrich.
