From modest beginnings, the organisation has expanded across the UK, building a diverse team of staff and volunteers, many with lived experience. We support people affected by homelessness and drug and alcohol use through housing, coaching and therapeutic programmes, working towards a world where everyone has somewhere to live, something to do, and someone to love.

About the Role

As Housing Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring people treated by local drug and alcohol services are safely housed in appropriate accommodation so they can focus on treatment and recovery. You will lead the delivery of recovery and treatment services, ensure safety and contract compliance, and inspire and motivate your team. Working with external partners, you will assess individual needs, prepare people to move into accommodation and provide practical and psychological support. Collaboration with health and treatment services, social enterprises, housing, education and training providers will help develop services that move individuals from homelessness and addiction to purposeful, independent living. You will work flexibly from different sites and may need to work evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and appropriate housing for service users
  • Deliver recovery and treatment services in line with contracts and key deliverables
  • Provide visible operational leadership and motivate the team
  • Assess individual needs and prepare users for accommodation transition
  • Offer practical and psychological support to maintain accommodation
  • Collaborate with health, treatment, social enterprises and other partners to develop community living pathways
  • Work flexibly across sites, including evenings and weekends as required

Qualifications and Experience

About you

  • Experience of managing complex needs, substance misuse and/or housing services
  • Experience managing adult social care and services within the third or public sector
  • Experience developing and supporting staff in a challenging environment
  • Experience developing partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
  • Experience supporting individuals to achieve long‑term health gains, tenancy and recovery in the community
  • Experience establishing self‑sustaining, recovery‑focused communities
  • A management or equivalent qualification
