Overview

Reports to: Head of Product & Sales

Location: Flexible within Europe (preference for London or other major fashion hubs).

Opportunity: Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to support the Head of Product & Sales in driving growth of the private label apparel business across Europe. The successful candidate will leverage an extensive network of retailer contacts to open new accounts, maintain and grow existing partnerships, and penetrate untapped territories. This is a strategic role requiring a balance of business development, account management, and market expertise within the apparel manufacturing and private label sector.

Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with European fashion retailers and brands.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Territory Expansion: Research and open doors in underdeveloped or untouched European markets, adapting strategies to local market conditions.
  • Market & Product Knowledge: Stay current with apparel industry trends (knits, wovens, sustainability, and supply chain shifts) to provide insights that shape sales strategies.
  • Sales Execution: Manage sales pipelines, lead negotiations, and deliver revenue targets in collaboration with the Head of Product & Sales.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, design, merchandising, and production teams to align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track KPIs, prepare regular updates for senior leadership, and provide recommendations for growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in apparel sales, private label, and manufacturing, with a proven record of success in the European market.
  • Strong network of retailer contacts across mid-to-premium fashion segments.
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and expand business in new geographies.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of apparel production processes, sourcing, and supply chain.
  • Analytical, data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
