As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing long‑term relationships with customers predominantly in Wales and, where required, across the UK. You will oversee sales, satisfy customers’ needs, respond to queries promptly and ensure a positive customer experience. Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to achieve long‑term success through growth and profitability.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients.
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Develop new products and services for customers, working with the internal sales team and supply partners.
  • Introduce and develop new customers.
  • Manage tenders and customer contracts.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Lead and supervise customer service/inside sales team to ensure sales increase and customer satisfaction.
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Liaise with materials and warehouse teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.

Accounts / Quality Responsibilities

  • Resolve any invoice queries raised by the customer.
  • Aid the AR department when needed to get outstanding invoices paid.
  • Review any open quality concerns.

Service and Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Liaise with warehouse to ensure orders are dispatched on time to customers.
  • Resolve any goods in‑query related to orders placed with suppliers.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar customer sector preferred.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to maximise profitable sales.
  • Hardworking and reliable.
