Responsibilities:
- For the assigned portfolio of items, optimize inventory levels to ensure compliance with agreed customer stock holding requirements and internal inventory targets.
- Analyze, understand and take appropriate actions regarding ERP recommendations based on system settings.
- Issue purchase orders and work orders as per lead times to ensure delivery in line with internal & customer On Time Delivery goals.
- Work directly with the supply base to ensure the necessary communication results in swift order acknowledgements and clear availability information, updating the ERP system to reflect the latest information.
- Identify opportunities for sourcing improvements and cost savings, driving these opportunities through to implementation.
- Maintain accurate system data, such as purchase costs, lead times, MOQ’s, etc.
- Timely resolution to supplier invoice discrepancies, assisting finance dept. as necessary.
- Coordinate disposition of non-conforming material, notifying the supplier immediately to ensure no disruption to the supply chain.
- The buyer will be responsible to submit TSS Declarations for importing goods to Northern Ireland.

Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- Three years professional experience in materials planning, procurement, demand planning or appropriate experience within Supply Technologies.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in a distribution environment a plus.
- Have a thorough knowledge of material planning and inventory management.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, be able to prioritize multiple tasks, easily adapt to changing situations, and work well under pressure.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in teams with members from various disciplines.
- Experience with Customs Declarations for Moving Goods from GB to NI preferable.
