Purpose of Role

The Solutions Analyst will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting to provide actionable insights that drive business performance. This role will also contribute to the design and delivery of digital solutions and process improvements, but its primary focus will be on data analysis, reporting, and evidence-based decision support.

This position provides a pathway to expand into wider solution design and digital transformation as the business and the function grow.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Insight (Primary Focus)

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models to provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights.
  • Analyse operational and financial datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into structured data analysis.
  • Support evidence-based decision making through clear presentation of data and recommendations.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems.

Solution Design & Delivery (Secondary Focus)

  • Contribute to the design and optimisation of business applications, automations, and workflows.
  • Support enhancements to SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.
  • Assist in researching and trialing new platforms and tools, with a view to future scalability.
  • Document solutions and workflows to ensure sustainability and reusability.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with business leaders to understand analytical requirements and deliver effective reporting.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure business teams can interpret and act on insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on both analytics and wider technical opportunities.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply best practice in data management, reporting standards, and version control.
  • Promote a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
  • Contribute ideas for improving processes, efficiency, and systems through data-led analysis.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in data modelling, SQL, DAX, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience in building dashboards and reports for operational and strategic use.
  • Ability to interrogate, clean, and transform datasets from multiple sources.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power Platform, SharePoint).
  • Experience in automation and workflow design.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO standards and GDPR.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Salesforce.
