We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team as a Conveyancing Onboarding Assistant. As an Onboarding Assistant, you will provide support to our Conveyancing team by assisting with various administrative tasks related to property transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for new conveyancing clients, providing a professional and friendly welcome.
- Collect and verify client information, including ID checks and anti-money laundering documentation.
- Prepare and send client care packs and engagement letters.
- Input client details into case management systems accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with solicitors and conveyancers to ensure smooth handover of files.
- Monitor onboarding progress and follow up with clients where necessary.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
- Deal with telephone enquiries either to conclusion or by referral to the fee earner.
- Action incoming post, placing copies on the file and storing documents securely where necessary.
- Provide administrative support to the conveyancing team as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a legal or property environment (conveyancing experience desirable but not essential).
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional telephone manner and strong written communication skills.
- Understanding of AML and compliance procedures (training can be provided).
