About the role

Advertising Week (AW) is the premier global event and thought leadership platform focused on marketing, media, technology, and culture. Founded in 2004 in New York, AW’s award-winning global event franchise includes: AWNewYork (NYC), AWEurope (London), and AWLATAM (Mexico City); In addition to live and virtual events, the year-round global content platform also contains best-in-class original audio, video, and editorial content (AW360). AW is seeking a Senior Partnerships Manager to drive growth and development across its events and digital business. This is a new role, which will work closely with the Global Partnerships team, and is responsible for identifying and developing new commercial opportunities for the AW Europe event, as well as renewing existing partner business. This role requires an experienced and enthusiastic individual with plenty of initiative. This position will be hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days a week in office.

What you'll do

  • Identifying and building a pipeline of new commercial opportunities and targets from across the marketing, advertising, technology and media industries as well as seeking out non-endemic opportunities
  • Retaining and growing existing partnerships
  • Being an external ‘face’ of Advertising Week in the market, attending industry and competitor events, building senior level relationships and increasing AW presence
  • Developing dynamic sales presentations for new partners incorporating research, category dynamics and a clear understanding of marketing goals
  • Managing sales process from identification of opportunity through to activation and debriefing
  • Manage and track sales conversations and sales cycle, and produce accurate and reliable reporting/forecasting information to senior management on a weekly basis

Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven sales experience including business development
  • Previous media sales experience would be advantageous
  • Experience in the marketing, advertising, technology or media industries
  • Strong numerical skills for reporting & budgeting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The role is based in London, but you will work with a global team across time zones
  • You must have the ability to travel to the US and Overseas
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: £80,000- 90,000 + Sales Incentive Plan. Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
