The Vice President / Brand Director serves as a strategic business leader for the Insurtech Insights portfolio, supporting the Group Vice President to drive growth, profitability, market leadership, and long‑term portfolio expansion across Europe, North America, and Asia. This role provides support across strategy, commercial performance, audience growth, product innovation, and event execution for a global portfolio of market‑leading brands. Acting as the day‑to‑day general manager across the business, the VP / Brand Director helps shape portfolio strategy, leads cross‑functional execution, and drives initiatives that accelerate revenue growth, customer value, and enterprise contribution. This position requires a strong event leader with strong commercial instincts who can work well with leadership, guide cross‑functional teams, cultivate key team relationships, and ensure sustained brand growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the short‑term strategic plan for the Insurtech Insights brand portfolio.
  • Support the creation of the long‑term strategic plan.
  • Support GVP in presenting the Brand Operating Plan (BOP).
  • Working with sales leadership, identify and develop new growth opportunities including new events, products, partnerships, and digital initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to evolve brand positioning and generate new sales revenue.
  • Support the overall P&L strategy and performance of the Insurtech Insights portfolio.
  • Provide input and suggested targets during the annual financial planning, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting, with support from Emerald and Brand leadership.
  • Help establish revenue growth objectives and profitability targets across the brand.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Working with brand and sales leadership, help define overall product and revenue strategy for the brand, including pricing frameworks and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Establish revenue priorities and collaborate with sales leadership to drive growth across exhibitions, sponsorship, and other revenue streams.
  • Develop strategies to expand the brand’s audience reach and influence within the brand's ecosystem.
  • Identify opportunities for geographic expansion, new market segments, and year‑round engagement.
  • Guide the development of new brand extensions, experiences, and offerings.

Conference & Programming Oversight:

  • Working with the conference development team and operations director, oversee operational planning and execution of the conference program for each event.
  • Collaborate with conference operations teams to oversee coordination of speaker logistics, session scheduling, and onsite production requirements, with support of Content Manager.
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of educational programming during the event.
  • Drive attendee acquisition through conference channels and identify and develop revenue opportunities across conference platforms.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction across sales, marketing, operations, conference, and event teams to ensure alignment with brand objectives.
  • Build strong internal partnerships to support brand success.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in B2B events, media, or brand management.
  • Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in complex environments.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to independently drive the tactical and strategic results required while also collaborating well with the team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Target Compensation: £92,500 (GBP) (sales incentive eligible). Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
