As we scale our go-to-market strategy, we are seeking an exceptional Head of Marketing to build Emerald Technology’s marketing engine from the ground up, owning demand generation, pipeline creation and partner-led growth with direct accountability for revenue outcomes.
The Head of Marketing will own Emerald Technology’s entire marketing strategy and execution, with full responsibility for pipeline growth, brand positioning, and partner-led marketing. This is a highly commercial, data-driven role for a senior marketer who thrives in B2B services, ideally within HR tech, SaaS, fintech or professional services.
You will build and lead a high-performance marketing function, working closely with Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Leadership to drive qualified demand and revenue at pace. This is a hands-on, builder role. In the first 12–18 months, you will personally design, launch and optimise our demand engine while selectively hiring and scaling a lean and high-impact team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver Emerald Technology’s full demand generation strategy across digital, content, paid media, events, ABM, SEO, and lifecycle marketing.
- Build scalable, predictable lead generation and pipeline acceleration engines aligned to sales targets.
- Own the technology stack, optimising current technology and providers as well as implementing new technologies including AI-powered demand generation tech stack to build the go to market playbook to scale pipeline.
- Implement multi-channel demand campaigns focused on driving pipeline and revenue contribution.
- Optimise conversion rates across the funnel using data, testing and automation.
- Oversee marketing operations, attribution, reporting and ROI measurement.
Partnership & Alliance Marketing
- Design and execute a world-class partnership marketing strategy alongside our Partner and Alliances team.
- Build joint go-to-market campaigns with technology, payroll, legal, accounting and HR partners.
- Manage co-branded content, webinars, events and referral programmes.
- Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline growth.
Brand & Content Positioning
- Own Emerald Technology’s brand strategy and messaging in the UK and international markets including writing, approving and ideating the right content across Marketing.
- Ensure consistent positioning across all customer touchpoints.
- Build authority in the EOR, global hiring and distributed workforce space through thought leadership, PR and content.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing marketing team, contractors and agency partners.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards across all marketing functions.
- Champion a culture of accountability, experimentation and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales and Partnership leadership on pipeline planning, ICP definition and revenue forecasting.
- Align with Product on go-to-market launches and customer insights.
- Support Customer Success with retention, upsell and advocacy programmes.
Key Success Metrics
- Marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced revenue.
- Cost per lead (CPL) and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
- Lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-win conversion rates.
- Partner-sourced pipeline and revenue.
- Brand awareness and category presence.
- Funnel velocity and pipeline coverage.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years’ senior B2B marketing experience ideally in EOR, HR tech, SaaS, fintech or professional services.
- Proven track record and experience of building and scaling demand generation in high-growth environments from ground zero.
- Experience in building and executing revenue programs and enablements with Sales.
- Strong experience in partnership and ecosystem marketing.
