This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and making a positive impact within the classroom. Whether you have previous school experience or transferable skills from a care or support background, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide classroom support to students across a range of subjects.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Support students with additional learning needs where required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to support student progress.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience working with young people in a school, care, youth work, or support setting is desirable.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
