We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Bury area from January 2027 until the summer holidays.
This is a full-time opportunity for a confident Early Years professional to lead the school's Nursery provision for children aged 2-3.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences, supporting children's early development and leading a team of Early Years staff within a busy Nursery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Lead and support a team of Nursery and Early Years staff.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Nursery provision.
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor children's progress and support their individual learning and development needs.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous teaching experience within Nursery or Early Years.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Experience leading or supervising staff within an Early Years setting.
- Confidence managing a busy Nursery environment.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- A positive, proactive and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
