Description
Get hands-on experience delivering a wide mix of that boost Emerald’s brand and connect with the academic community. From conferences and exhibitions to launches to webinars, you’ll work across the full event lifecycle and build a broad skill set.
You’ll be trusted to manage the day-to-day delivery of our events programme, working closely with internal teams, partners, and external suppliers to make sure everything runs smoothly and hits the mark.
Enjoy hybrid working that puts you in control. You’ll only need to pop into the Leeds office once a month for team days and quarterly for company-wide meetups. The rest of the time, you can manage your schedule from home or wherever suits you best.

What you’ll do:
Take ownership of event delivery, making sure everything is planned and executed to a high standard. You’ll:
  • Coordinate logistics, from venue bookings and stand setups to delegate materials and branded items.
  • Manage our global events calendar, operating as our go-to contact for events internally.
  • Work with organisers, speakers, and partners to bring events to life and support marketing goals.
  • Keep track of budgets, timelines, and bookings to make sure everything stays on track.
  • Gather feedback and data to measure success and improve future events.
What you’ll need:
You’ll have experience running events, ideally in academic publishing, higher education or a similar environment where you’ve been involved in planning and delivering successful events. You’ll be organised and able to juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball.
Communication is key. You’ll be confident speaking with colleagues, partners and suppliers and able to write clearly and professionally. You’ll also know your way around Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and understand data protection and GDPR.
