Role Description The Contracts Supervisor is a full-time hybrid role based in Birmingham, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees the management of installation and repair contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and client specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing contract terms, coordinating with project managers and site teams, monitoring progress against contract milestones, and addressing any variations or issues. The Contracts Supervisor will liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, prepare reports on contract performance, support budgeting and cost control, and contribute to process improvements. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring health and safety considerations are reflected in contractual arrangements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in contract supervision or contract management within construction, installation, repairs, or a related industry.
- Strong skills in reviewing, drafting, and interpreting contracts and associated documentation, with attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Proficiency in project coordination, including scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking across multiple projects.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Competence in using office and project management software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, scheduling tools) and maintaining organized records.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Understanding of relevant UK regulations, health and safety requirements, and commercial practices related to installation and repair contracts.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup, managing priorities independently while contributing to a collaborative office and site-based environment.
- Beneficial: Formal qualifications in contract management, construction management, business, law, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
