Overview

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Assess and underwrite risks, including but not limited to SME package, commercial combined, property owner and liability risks
  • Review and analyse risk submissions, working with brokers to gather all necessary information for risk assessment
  • Provide accurate pricing recommendations and terms following the Company’s underwriting guidelines and business strategy
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, as well as the Underwriting Framework in the business process
  • Qualifications required:

  • Cert CII or equivalent professional qualification
  • Dip CII and progressing towards ACII qualification is preferred but not required
  • Experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years of underwriting experience of SME package, commercial combined or property owner risks
  • Knowledge of the UK general insurance market and relevant regulatory practices and legislations
  • Proficiency in MS Office package, including Word, Excel and PPT and use of Teams
