Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- The Company strategy isn’t contained to a single line of business or territory so, as the market cycle evolves, you will be an integral part of the underwriting team focusing on the optimisation of the portfolio through the cycle.
- You will be required to, as part of the Underwriting team, interact with the core capital providers pitching new business opportunities and underwriting strategy for the core renewals.
- You will be responsible for helping the Underwriting team in new business development and international travel will be required.
- You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of strong relationships with Brokers and Coverholders, enabling the profitable growth of the Company’s portfolio.
Experience required:
- Experience within the delegated authority or reinsurance market (either underwriting or as a broker) where the requirement for a portfolio underwriting approach is essential.
- A desire to develop business and broker relationships with the willingness for international travel – both individual and part of a team.
- The ability to structure and process both qualitative and quantitative data to draw insightful conclusions and apply this to the underwriting process.
