Overview

Key Duties (Including but not limited to)

  • Leading or supporting multiple wind up projects, acting as a main point of contact for trustees or working groups.
  • Providing oversight of scheme wind up activities, including planning, monitoring and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Liaising with insurers, scheme administrators and stakeholders to maintain progress against project plans.
  • Leading or supporting strategic and technical aspects such as factor comparisons, lump sum exercises, funding reserves and surplus balance sheets.

Qualifications required

  • A professional qualification (or part‑qualification) in pensions (e. g., APMI, AFPC or IFo A).
  • Ideally holds an Honours Degree.
  • Educated to at least A‑level/Scottish Higher level, or equivalent experience.

Experience required

  • Knowledge and experience of UK DB pensions
  • Experience in consultancy or supporting UK pension schemes (e. g., actuarial work, bulk annuities, trustee exec, scheme management).
  • Understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes appropriate to experience.
