Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Oversight of high value UK primary losses in Casualty, Motor and Disease ensuring the highest quality of claims handling from their partners.
- Assess policy coverage, fact investigation, loss evaluation, ensuring an appropriate claim resolution.
- Set and maintain appropriate and timely reserves in accordance with their guidelines.
- Ensure that their claims handling partners (TPA’s & MGA’s) act within the scope of their contracts.
- Ensure that their internal data and records are kept up to date and accurate.
- Keep Claims Management and other internal stakeholders aware of loss potential and material claim developments.
Qualifications required:
- Educated to university degree-level or equivalent insurance or legal-based work experience (Professional insurance qualifications, or willingness to work towards achieving this).
Experience required:
- Solid Claims or Insurance Industry experience.
- Background working in the primary insurance market is preferred.
- Strong coverage, investigation, loss evaluation and claim valuation skills.
- Strong understanding of underwriting and other insurance functions and how they interact.
