We’re seeking a Paralegal to join our small but mighty legal team on a 4-6 months fixed-term contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse matters including corporate support, consumer law, contract terms, non-disclosure agreements, and legal research.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to our legal team, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality legal services.

Reporting into the Head of Legal, UK you will be agile in taking on a variety of tasks, collaborative in navigating global teams in a matrixed organization, diligent in prioritizing competing deadlines, adept at creating and maintaining organizational systems, and trustworthy in handling highly sensitive and privileged information.

PLEASE NOTE

This is a fixed term contract role for 4-6 months. The role is fully office based in Euston, London. We operate Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

  • WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
  • Corporate and Commercial Matters
  • Prepare and review corporate documentation, including board minutes, agreements, and corporate filings
  • Assist with company formation, restructuring, and compliance matters
  • Maintain corporate records and filing systems
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on corporate matters
  • Review of customer facing terms and conditions
  • Review commercial contracts
  • Maintain contract register and track renewal/expiration dates
  • Assist in contract negotiations with third parties
  • Summarise key contract terms for attorney and business review
  • Support contract compliance monitoring and administration
  • Consumer Queries & Disputes
  • Assist the customer support team by handling legal queries surrounding customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Research consumer protection regulations and applicable laws
  • Assist in resolving potential claims and court claims
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate NDA templates and specific agreements
  • Maintain register of executed NDAs and track expiration dates
  • Provide guidance on NDA implications and enforcement
  • Data Protection & Privacy Advice
  • Assist with data protection impact assessments and privacy documentation
  • Support development and implementation of privacy policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on privacy-related matters
  • Monitor changes in data protection regulations and advise on implications
  • Legal Research
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on assigned matters
  • Analyse relevant case law, statutes, and regulations
  • Prepare research memoranda and summaries for attorney review
  • Stay current with legal developments in relevant practice areas
  • Identify and assess legal precedents and implications
  • General Paralegal Duties
  • Assist in preparation for meetings, hearings, and negotiations
  • Manage document management and filing systems
  • Support billing and time tracking as required
  • Supporting and working effectively as a part of e Med’s global Privacy function.
  • WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Legal qualification from a reputable law school and/or university
  • At least 1+ years' of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal or Corporate Secretary in a law firm or corporate environment desirable
  • Healthcare/tech experience is ideal but not essential
  • Interested in health tech and its use in a tech/AI environment
  • Very high attention to detail when managing projects, communications, and filings/registrations
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Able to build strong working relationships with various lines of business
  • Paralegal Certification or legal degree strongly preferred
  • Strong technology and computer systems background preferred
