Volunteer Car Driver – Patient Transport Service (Leicester)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Volunteer Car Driver to join our team based in Leicester. Your commitment will ensure vulnerable patients can access essential medical appointments on time with ease and comfort.
Job Summary
As a volunteer, you will be the friendly face that patients rely on during their journey to appointments. Your role is simple yet profoundly impactful: providing safe and reliable transportation, while offering reassurance and support during a challenging time in their lives.
Main Duties
- Drive patients to non‑emergency appointments
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for seamless operations
- Foster positive relationships within the community
- Enjoy the autonomy of volunteering independently whilst knowing you have the backing of a supportive team
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Friendly and empathetic demeanour
- Access to a 4‑door car (minimum)
