We have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Systems and Compliance Assistant to join our HR team. This is a hybrid role working from our offices in Shrewsbury 3 days a week to allow collaborative working time with your colleagues. This role also includes an opportunity to enrol on a HR apprenticeship course to achieve a HR qualification.
Reporting directly to our HR Systems and Compliance Manager, the HR Systems and Compliance Assistant will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and professional support to the business in relation to HR systems, HR compliance, and HR Administration. This role is central to ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and data integrity within all HR systems, while providing a responsive and service-focused approach.

Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain accuracy and compliance of all people-related data and processes within HR systems.
- Collaborate with operational management to ensure all regulatory and company compliance requirements are consistently met and up to date including CQC and other regulatory bodies.
- Conduct monthly sample audits to ensure onboarding compliance across the business, elevate non-compliance, and support with coaching to align and close any gaps where necessary.
- Foster strong working relationships across the business to support HR system integrity, consistent process implementation and service delivery.
- Monitor and respond to queries in the BambooHR support inbox.
- Monitor and respond to queries in the HR Admin inbox.
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports on people compliance data, with appropriate follow up to maintain KPI levels.
- Signpost to guidance and coach managers on all aspects of people administration processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Implement regular data cleanse activities to promote data integrity across HR systems.
- Issue Company funded eye test vouchers on an ad-hoc basis when required.
- Supporting wider, ad-hoc, HR administrative activities as required.
Do you have what it takes?
- Knowledge and understanding of Right to Work documentation requirements and DBS application processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of healthcare sector / CQC and/or other regulated environments is desirable.
- Highly organised and ability to plan effectively and able to work autonomously to deadlines.
- Proficient user of MS Office and experience of HR systems, including Teams, Excel, Word and Power Bi.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to drive results and adopt a pro-active approach.
- Strong relationship management skills, network building, and team centred approach.
- Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
