We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Fleet Manager to lead our fleet teams based in the South West covering Somerset, Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire areas.

Reporting to the regional director, this role will lead our fleet team across the South West, taking responsibility for the safety, operational and financial performance of our vehicles.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead our fleet team across multiple contract areas, taking responsibility for safety, operational and financial performance.
  • Line manage and allocate work to local ambulance fleet assistants, including maintenance, inspections, cleaning and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the PO process, ensuring good value for money and compliance with vehicle leasing and warranties
  • Proactively drive down the quantity and duration of VOR to achieve best outcomes for our patients.
  • Work with the central fleet team and wider operations team, acting as one team to ensure high performance.
  • Work with the central fleet team to agree and deliver the servicing plan.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with frontline staff and local management to ensure our fleet best serves our people and our patients.
  • Be prepared to travel to all parts of your region on a regular basis.

  • High levels of commitment to the provision of an efficient and effective service.
  • Ability to work under pressure at times but without compromising standards of performance.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the relevant contract regions.
